Statutory – Alternative Provision Census 2022 (3.79)
Description
This release supports the following changes to the AP (Alternative Provision) Census 2023 Return:
- The Census period is from 21 January 2022 to 19 January 2023
- If the system date is on or after 1st September 2022:
- The <ReferenceDate> will be 2023-01-19
- The <Year> will be 2023
- The <DateTime> year section will be 2023-01-19
- Change in ‘Post looked after arrangements’ data item.
The codeset post looked after arrangements has been extended to identify where a pupil is adopted from statecare outside of England and Wales.
The new code O has been added and the existing codes A, G, R and C have been updated to reflect the data only from ‘England and Wales:- N – Not declared
- A – Ceased to be looked after through adoption from England and Wales
- G – Ceased to be looked after through a special guardianship order (SGO) from England and Wales
- R – Ceased to be looked after through a residence order (RO) from England and Wales
- C – Ceased to be looked after through a child arrangement order (CAO) from England and Wales
- O – Ceased to be looked after through adoption from state care outside of England and Wales
- New rules for pupil level validation added:
- the sum of all <APSessionsPerWeek> for <PlacementDetail> nodes where <LeavingDate> is blank, and <APAttendancePattern> is equal to ‘PT’ must not be greater than ‘10’.
- Where there are more than one <PlacementDetail> is present for a pupil then, <URN> or <UKPRN>, <PlacementReason>, <EntryDate>, <LeavingDate>, <APAttendancePattern> and <APSessionsPerWeek> must be unique.
