Statutory – Early Years Census (3.85)
Description
This release supports the following changes to the 2025 Census:
- The Census date is 16th Jan 2025.
- Census Date, Collection dates and Submission dates have been updated.
- Uses the DfE provided XSD schema files to validate the generated data.
Data Items
- Data item <ThirtyHourCode> (N00202) renamed to <EligibilityCode> (N00202).
- Following data items removed:
- <EYFundingWeeks> (N00270)
- <TotalFundedSpringHours> (N00118)
- Following data items expanded to cover children from 9 months up to and including 4 years old:
- <DAFIndicator> (N00203)
- <EYPPBF> (N00174)
- <EYPPR> (N00639)
- Following data items added to support new Entitlement Weeks column.
- <FundedEntitlementWeeks> (N00791)
- <ExtendedEntitlementWeeks> (N00792)
- <ExpandedEntitlementWeeks> (N00793)
- New data item <ExpandedHours> (N00787) added.
Exports expanded hours recorded against children between 9 months to 2 years old (under 3s).
Does not export expanded hours recorded against children who are 3 or 4 years old.
Entitlement Weeks
Funded Service
- New Entitlement Weeks column added to Funded Service screen.
Default is 0.
For a child in the Spring term:- Defaults to 38 weeks when entering hours greater than 0 for the following (per week or term):
- Funded/Universal Paid Hours
- Expanded/Extended Paid Hours
- Not populated when the following are greater than 0:
- Funded/Universal Interim Hours
- Expanded/Extended Interim Hours
Entitlement Weeks must be in the range 38-52 weeks.
- Defaults to 38 weeks when entering hours greater than 0 for the following (per week or term):
Headcount
- New Entitlement Weeks column added to Headcount (Actual) for Under 2, 2 & 3 year olds screen.
Default is 0. Imported to the Funded Service screen when the headcount task is submitted.
For a child in Spring term:- Populated with 38 when the following are greater than 0 (per week or term):
- Funded/Universal Paid Hours
- Expanded/Extended Paid Hours
- Populated with 38 when the following are greater than 0 (per week or term):
