Overview of the Sites area

This tab provides information on site details, including contact information for the site and gates defined. The number of sites defined for the base is displayed on the tab.

A base must have one principal site but additional sites can be recorded.

The tab displays a list of all sites recorded for the school and includes details of Gates. Clicking an arrow adjacent to the site name collapses the details of that site. Clicking the Add Site link expands the page enabling a new site to be recorded. Clicking Edit displays the information in field format enabling it to be changed.

In edit mode, gates can be defined for the site. The Gates area provides a link to Add Gate. The number of gates defined is displayed.

Click the UDF button to define Sites UDFs.

The following fields are available:

  • Site DetailsSite Details

    This shows the Site Name (mandatory) and Site Address.

    The Principal Site check box is selected if this is the principal site of the base. (Only one principal site is allowed).

  • Date Opened and Date ClosedDate Opened and Date Closed

    These two fields show the period when the site is in use. These may be changed in edit mode. If the site is made inactive, the Date Closed must be entered.

  • Electoral WardElectoral Ward

    In edit mode, clicking the browse button opens a dialog of user codes from which to select the correct ward for the selected site (Lookup Table 0081).

  • ParishParish

    In edit mode, clicking the browse button opens a dialog of user codes from which to select the correct parish (Lookup Table 0090).

  • Parliamentary ConstituencyParliamentary Constituency

    A browse of user codes is available from which to select the correct constituency (Lookup Table 0014).

  • Property Reference NumberProperty Reference Number

    This is a universal property reference number that conforms to British Standard 7666.

    BS7666 is a British Standard developed by the Local Government Management Board for referencing and addressing land and property data.

  • Site ContactsSite Contacts

    Caretaker

    Keyholder

    Transport Contact

    The names and associated telephone numbers of the Caretaker, Keyholder and Transport contacts.

     

    Site URL

    A website address for the site (optional)

    Site Type

    Select using drop-down from Lookup Table 1175

    Active Site

    Check box is selected if this site is active. If it is de-selected, the Date Closed must be entered.
