Allegations (Against Person/Carer): ZZJ-Allegs
If an allegation is made against a Person/Carer, an Allegations Exemplar must be recorded as part of Statutory Compliance. This will be added to the Person’s Chronology creating a relationship of Abuser and Abusee. This type of relationship is not displayed in the Person’s Social Network. A Crystal report is available and may be generated through the Reports Focus.
A founded allegation may be reported to the Police. The policy for reporting allegations is set by the Local Authority.
When an Allegation Exemplar is selected to be added as a New Event to the Chronology the Subject of the Allegation is the Person /Carer. The Subject Details will be automatically populated with the Person’s details. If the Exemplar is run from the Form Definition Focus the Subject must be matched to the appropriate Person.
Details of the Allegation must be selected or entered to record the Type of AllegationType of Allegation , Date of AllegationDate of Allegation , type details in the text box. The Name of the Person who made the Allegation must be matched to a person on the database or added as a new person record. If it felt necessary to complete an S47 Outcome of Enquiry, this must be indicated and details entered in the relevant fields. Details of Action taken in response to the Allegation must be entered.
The panel referring to Children in contact with Carer is a repeating panel which allows you to record information about more than one child. The gravity of the allegation must be taken into consideration as to what children are recorded. If it is felt necessary this may be all children in contact with the Carer or children who are subject to the same abuse. This information will show the Relationship to the Carer and, if any, Social Worker details.
The Outcome panel allows you to record details of decisions and recommended actions to be taken. This includes adding the Name of the Person assigned to the investigation and in overall charge. Dates must be recorded for all stages of the report and a Reason for Delay and the Outcome of Action recorded.
In use: Exemplars are added as New Events via a Child or Person’s Chronology. To do this click New and select New Appropriate Exemplar or New Other Exemplar.
Selecting one of these will open the form for data entry.
New Appropriate Exemplar
The New Appropriate Exemplar list will only show those which have an Age Range appropriate for the Person based on their Date of Birth. Therefore, an Exemplar with an Age Range 0 - 3 will not be included in the list for a 7 year old Person. Likewise, Exemplars relating to Allegations and Complaints, Resignation and Retirement will not by default be available to a Child or Young Person under the age of 19 years, they will however be available from the New Other Exemplar option.
New Other Exemplar
The New Other Exemplar list will show all Exemplars which are out of the Person’s Age Range based on Date of Birth.
