Memos

Memos are used throughout v4 online as a means of recording additional details and are usually displayed with an icon:

In Transport a plus sign is displayed where a memo doesn't exist:

In CSS and Governors the memo is displayed as a tab.

Some modules, such as Transport, have both generic memos and memos that are specific to users of those modules.

To add a memo:

  1. In v4 Online, select an entity you wish to record a memo for e.g. A&T Back Office | Students | All Students.
  2. Click the Memo button to display the Memo Details dialog (the Memo tab in CSS and Governors).
    For example:
  3. Click the Edit Memo hyperlink to make the memo text editable (except Transport, CSS and Governors where the memo opens automatically in edit mode).
  4. Enter memo text as required.  You can format the contents of the memo using the standard word processor-type controls on the toolbar.
  5. When saved, the memo icon changes to show that a memo has been recorded.
