B2B/Portals/System/Statutory England ONLY – Changes to Sex, Gender and Gender Identity (3.80.102)

Description

Two new fields have been added to the Person table to report student gender identity accurately, so that informed decisions can be made based on accurate information.

Gender Identity and Gender Identity Description fields are added to the following screen:

• v4 client | Focus | People | Person > 01b. Gender Identity

GenderID values:

• 00 – Not known (default value)
• 01 – Man / Boy / Male
• 02 – Woman / Girl / Female
• 09 – Prefer to self-describe

GenderIDDescription value:

• This is a free text field, default value null.

Permissions

As Gender Identity is considered to be sensitive data under GDPR, a new permission has been added to the following:

• v4 client > Tools > Permissions > User Group Processes > Person  Administration
  • Person Gender Identity Details

This allows access to gender information to be controlled.

One Education Client

Unknown (U) is available in the Sex/Gender dropdown in all the screens where the Sex/Gender field is available for Person / Student.

B2B

The Data processing and Carer matching rules have been updated to reflect the Sex/Gender changes.

Sex, Gender Identity and Gender Identity Description fields are added to the following screens and Gender field is removed:

  • 30 Hours
  • Free School Meals
  • School Places
  • SEND
  • Transport
  • TYOF

Statutory imports

• ADT, ASL, ALT & APT
  New/existing students and carers
  • If Sex tag is present it is imported as Gender value
  • If Sex tag is not present, Gender tag is imported if present
• CTF
  New/existing students and carers
  • If Sex tag is present it is imported as Gender value
  • If Sex tag is not present, Gender tag is imported if present

Statutory exports

• ADT, ALT & APT
  Student/Sibling Gender values exported as Sex values for England locales
  Student/Sibling Gender values exported as Gender values for non-England locales
• CTF
  Student/Parent/Carer Gender values exported as Sex values for England locales
  Student/Parent/Carer Gender values exported as Gender values for non-England locales
