B2B Student / B2B Open – Enable student/carer matching based on GUID (3.73)
Description
A new true/false parameter has been added in the System Administration | System Defaults area called GUIDMATCH. This is set to True by default.

The setting allows incoming student / carer records to be matched by GUID where one exists in the import file.
A new tag value called <GUID> has been added to the <SuppInfo> and <Contacts> containers in the import files.

The incoming GUIDs are stored in a new table called EXTERNAL_GUIDS.
External Matches
There is a new hyperlink in the Data Transfer area called External Matches.

The External Matches hyperlink takes you to the Manage External Guids screen in Administration | System Admin | System Administration | Data Management | People Matching which lists all external GUIDs which have been added to the External GUIDs table.

From here you can view all records in the table or search for specific records using the filters. If delete permission has been given, you can select records to be deleted from the table. WARNING: this action cannot be undone.
Permissions
A new permission has been added to allow users to access the External Matches hyperlink in B2B and People Matching in System Administration. Select the Data Management option for the Main Business Processes field and set the permissions for the Manage External GUIDs as Read-Write-Delete. The GUIDMATCH parameter must also be set to True.
