General Functionality – Student Details | ALN Details Panel added (Wales ONLY) (3.90)

Description

ALN Details panel added on the Student Details screen in the v4 Client. The panel displays directly below the SEN Stage History panel and is numbered 23a.

ALN Decisions

• ALN Decision Outcome and ALN Decision Body
  Required by the WG.
• Date of Decision
  Required to support the statutory requirement to only include ALN Decisions since the last statutory collection.
• Source
  This field is auto populated and is read only.

Area of Need

• Start Date and Area of Need
   These fields are required.
• End Date
  This field is optional.
• Date of Change and Source
  These fields are auto populated and read only.

Audit trail

• Tools | Audit Trail | Audit Log Setup
  When Audit Viewed Data is set as True, ALN Details included on a student record that has been viewed are displayed.
• Tools | Audit Trail | Audit Trail screen
  All changes made to the ALN Details of student records can be viewed on this screen.

Permissions

• User Group Processes Editor
  A new ALN Details business process is available under the Student Data business process.
• View/Hide Data Panels
  The ALN Details panel can be set to show or hide from the View/Hide Data Panels settings for user group users.

UDFs

UDF Management screen | Student Details

User defined fields can now be added to the ALN Details panel. This means ALN details specific to a Local Authority may be captured for the students.

Student record merges

If one or more records have ALN decisions recorded, the entire ALN details of the record with the most recent ALN decision date is retained. Where the most recent ALN decision date is the same on both records, the details in the Master record are retained.

Student record deletion

On choosing to delete a student record, the system lists any table dependencies for the student where ALN Details have been captured.
