Early Years – Funded Service (3.86)
Description
Enables providers to record expanded funding to eligible under 3 year old children. The maximum number of expanded hours per week from September 2025 is 30. Defined within the payment limits and payment parameters for each age and provider.
Expanded hours can only be recorded if:
- The child is currently eligible for the working parent entitlement
- Eligibility is for the term the hours are being recorded in
Additionally:
- When expanded hours recorded
- Child is between 9 months old and up to 2 years
Checks the under 2’s cap limits defined for the funded service and payment period - Child is 2 years
Checks the new expanded 2 year old cap limits defined for the funded service and payment period
- Child is between 9 months old and up to 2 years
- When expanded hours recorded on the Headcount
- Expanded/Funded hours per week and per period are updated
- Expanded/Funded hours remaining are reduced by the number of expanded/funded hours per period recorded
- Child is 2 years, eligible and claiming funded hours
Up to 15 hours of expanded hours can also be recorded - Child is 2 years, eligible and not claiming funded hours
Up to the expanded 2 year old cap limit can be recorded - More than the maximum number of expanded hours per week and term recorded
The hours are automatically changed to the cap limit
When the funded service is saved, the the expanded/funded hours remaining are reduced by the number of expanded/funded hours per period recorded.
