NCCIS Mappings
NCCIS Schema Sex Mappings include:

- Female = F
- Unknown = U
The IYSS Sex values will be mapped to the following NCCIS Schema Sex values:
IYSS Sex Values | NCCIS Schema Sex Values |
Male | M – Male |
Female | F – Female |
Unknown | U – Unknown |
Not Specified | U – Unknown |
AssetPlus
The What is your sex? question in each AssetPlus stage includes the new Unknown sex value.
YJ Sex Values | AssetPlus Stage Sex Values |
Male | Male |
Female | Female |
Unknown | Not Known |
Not Specified | Not Specified |
The changes can be seen in the What is your sex? field under the Young person details sub-sections for all Completed, In progress and Stopped stages.
The YOGRS calculation in AssetPlus includes the new Unknown sex value. As per the YJB requirements, until the biological sex of the young person can be determined the reference data for the algorithm should take the male value, as this takes the most cautious approach to calculating Likelihood of Reoffending using YOGRS.
