This release supports the changes to the Early Years Census 2021

• The Census date is 21^st Jan 2021
• Census Date, Collection dates and Submission dates have been updated.

The age range included in the collection are:

• A 2-year-old has a date of birth between 2018-01-01 and 2018-12-31 (inclusive)
• A 3-year-old has a date of birth between 2017-01-01 and 2017-12-31 (inclusive)
• A 4-year-old has a date of birth between 2016-01-01 and 2016-12-31 (inclusive)

Ofsted URN field limit has been extended to 9 digits (e.g. EY9999999) to be acceptable in v4 client, v4 census detail and on Self Update on Provider Portal.

The Ofsted unique reference number for an EY provider can be 6 or 16-digit number prefixed by ‘EY’.
